To lunch in Alderley Edge. Into the back of the car. Round to a friend’s for the weekend. A well-trained dog is one you can almost forget is there, and that is the standard we work to.
Houndwell is a private dog training company run by Charlie and Sophie. Charlie does all of the training, one to one, at your home and in the places your dog actually goes. Sophie looks after everything else, from your first call to the aftercare once your programme ends.
We work with a small number of families at a time across Cheshire, Manchester, the North East and the rest of the UK. That is deliberate. It means every dog gets our full attention, and every result is one we are proud to put our name to.
Our method is balanced and calm. Clear communication, fair boundaries and plenty of reward. No shouting, no gimmicks and nothing built on intimidation, just a dog who understands what is expected and an owner who knows how to keep it that way.

Training happens in real life, not a training hall. Charlie works with you and your dog at home, on your street, in the park and in the cafés and places you would like to take them. You learn alongside your dog, so the progress lasts long after we leave.
Every programme includes a written plan for your dog, a private WhatsApp line to us throughout, and aftercare once it ends, including refresher sessions whenever you would like them.
